“We are extremely honored to be officially named as a Continuing Education Provider by the State of Florida for our Employee and Board of Director training programs” says Rebecca Furlow, President and CEO of Leland Management. “This designation allows us the opportunity to showcase the wealth of experience and knowledge of our management team and we are thrilled to be able to provide this service to our clients.”
The curriculum of Leland’s Board Member trainings has been a long standing program offered to Leland’s clients and was an initiative established by Rebecca and David Furlow, owners of Leland Management. “Many years ago when we originally developed our Board Orientation programs we did so as a service to our clients. With the new State requirements for Condominium Board training and our ability to administer the trainings, our clients are thrilled to know that their Management Company can help them meet the requirement at no additional cost” says David Furlow, Vice-President and CFO. “This added value continues to set Leland Management apart from other Association Management firms.“

Spring Isle Community Association is located in Orlando and was built in 2005.
Spring Isle Community Association has 271 homes and 390 townhomes. One of the caveats’ to owning a home in Spring Isle is the landscape maintenance performed, not only for Townhome residents but also for single family home residents. A high standard of uniformity is achieved with this process.
The community has a beautifully designed pool with brick pavers aligning the pool deck and surrounding areas. A tot lot and dog park are highly used amenities within the community. Conservation areas managed by St. Johns Water surround a large portion of the community along with brick perimeter walls.
Spring Isle residents are treated to many social and holiday events throughout the year. Meet and Greets, Spring Bash and Fall Carnival are just a few of the fun filled social events sponsored by the social committee. The community also partakes in bi-yearly community wide garage sale with a partnership was formed with AmVets and Goodwill of Central Florida. Items left outside after the conclusion of the garage sale is collected by AmVets and Goodwill as a donation.
2012 will be a very busy year for Spring Isle! The Board of Directors approved the construction of a new guardhouse to replace a temporary structure. The Townhome painting project is underway and residents couldn’t be happier! The Townhome tree project is a large scale project where trees are being removed from problematic areas and relocated to a better growth potential area. Spring Isle is also partaking in the Orange County Community Pride Grant Project for a community message center to be erected in the median by the exit and entry gates. Wish us luck!

“Viva Las Vegas”
Leland Management was in force last week at the CAI Annual Conference in Las Vegas. Leland Management’s owners Rebecca and David Furlow as well as 5 other Leland team members attended the conference which was held over 4 days in Caesar’s Palace. The educational sessions (27 offered) were informative and covered a wide range of topics that affect our industry. Additionally, the keynote speakers Jeff Thredgold and Connie Podesta were both topical and interesting. Most importantly, and what these events are really all about, the conference provided plenty of opportunity to network with our peers and get a good feel for the current state of the industry. A great job done by CAI, looking forward to next year.
